Excellent concept. You cannot see the when the cup is entity, bit it appears when you add something to it. So set it before your girlfriend, and serve her some tea and look at her face as the heart appears. (Works fine with a teabag in the cup and the or over.) Watch her face as the romantic surprise wow her.
